Senioritis

Senioritis

noun. A crippling disease that strikes high school seniors. Symptoms include: laziness, an over-excessive wearing of track pants, old athletic shirts, sweatpants, athletic shorts, and sweatshirts. Also features a lack of studying, repeated absences, and a generally dismissive attitude. The only known cure is a phenomenon known as graduation. (Urbandictionary.com)

I am a firm believer in this "disease", i have it. I am lazy (come on: one lab class, one computer class, and one c.p. english class), i wear a lot of sweats. I do have a lack of studying and a sometimes a dismissive attitude. "Oh, who cares, we'll be gone in 9 weeks anyway." i am always at school though.

I am to the point where i am beginning to be sad and worry. I am going to miss high school, the routine and all my friends and teachers. I loved all my experiences throughout my years of schooling. I am excited to be moving on and am glad that i am staying home for college.

Lunch time!

I have never yet met a senior who didn't suffer from this malady to some degree!

It is an exciting time of life, but also full of the unknown and many changes. Your feelings are all part of the experience!

Does it help to know you are totally normal?!

I look forward to reading your perspective on your upcoming graduation. Wow, 13 years of school is nearly part of your past! Congrats!
